Learn to teach yoga in a tradition based in health, balance & stillness.
Learn to lead a yogic life.

Overview & Summary

This Advanced Teacher Training consists of immersive study and practice of postures, breathing, meditation, complex anatomy, history, philosophy, ethics and teaching methods.

It is in a “hybrid” format, partially online and partially in-person. The online portions allow for a more flexible schedule and revisiting core concepts at your own pace. The in-person portion immerses you in daily practice and study under the direct guidance of teachers and alongside your peers.

The training focuses on advancing your understanding of the body, the breath, the mind and ultimately the self.

We teach advanced postures, but performing them is not a requirement. We focus on deepening your understanding of various philosophies of yoga by studying texts, exploring modes of knowledge and developing critical thinking. We focus on developing a seated pranayama practice and various meditation techniques.

Starting in March with the beginning of the training, you are required to maintain practice and study. This includes video lectures with core concepts, a reading assignment, a written assignment and an oral presentation. These help develop discipline and tools to continue on the path in a real world environment.

“This was, by far, the best training I’ve ever been to. I’m proud to be a part of the Ghosh high standard. Every once in a while people come around to renew & upgrade the known standard, to shake up the paradigm—Ida & Scott are the dynamic duo to do just that.
